
In the fall of 2007, YouTube began offering YouTube EDU. YouTube EDU is YouTube's way of hosting college and university educational videos.
The OIA (formerly the LTC) developed the UA's EDU channel and it went public in January 2008. While the channel is now managed by UA Communications, the OIA continues to support faculty and departments interested in sharing content with high school students, college undergraduate and graduate students, and the University's extended community. With YouTube realizing billions videos viewed each month from within the U. S., it is an outstanding way to provide education resources. Trying to reach international students? Consider the UA's YouTube channel as the perfect way to do it.
Our channel promotes student life and the educational experience in many way. UA students share their experiences in the classroom, residence halls, and through their campus activities. We include videos of
UA programs, departments and colleges are welcome to develop their own YouTube channels. The advantage of participating in the UA channel is that larger/longer videos can be uploaded than afforded to standard channels and you are part of a UA-branded resource.
